For what did it matter? We are all going to end up in the same place. No matter how hard we try we wouldn’t be able to bring anything with us once we’re gone. It’s kind of funny how we work so hard for the things we want yet nothing is entirely permanent. What we call ours is only temporary and will eventually be in the hands of someone else. To think that you truly own something is misleading. Sooner or later we all have to let go. Hoping that what was once ours will now be in the hands of the greater good. And despite all of this, I wish you were mine. Not in any possessive controlling way. But someone to have, to hold and to cherish. We rarely get what we want in this world. So when you have something worth holding on to, fight for it.
